In a coniferous forest, there is a polygon enclosed by a rope with a diameter of several dozen paces.

Inside the polygon, there is game: a dozen or so cardboard figures imitating a squirrel, hare, badger, woodpecker, jay, etc., placed either on the ground or on trees and bushes.

The patrol, armed with pine cones (previously collected), sets out to find this hunting ground. Each scout searches separately. Whoever finds it shoots with pine cones to either knock over the animal or dislodge it from a branch. When they run out of pine cones, they go to fetch a new supply without revealing their discovery. Shooting is only allowed from outside the rope. Hidden judges (e.g., in trees) oversee the hunt and remain concealed so as not to reveal the location of the hunting ground with their presence. Who will be the king of the hunt?

If the animals are placed in good hiding spots so that they can only be seen from certain points, spotting them will not be too easy. A whistle ends the hunt$^{1}$.
