Section titled “Translated text”—During a march to exercises, the patrol leader poses a series of questions, such as: «How many cows are grazing in the pasture? — How many trees are in the group on the meadow? — How many windows are in the building by the road? — How many broken panes? — How many cars are in the passing train? How many people are working in the field? How many of them are without head coverings? — How many ducks are swimming in the pond?» etc. After a brief observation (count to 5 or 10), each scout records their answer. The answers are then checked, and points are awarded for the best responses. Who will have the most points upon reaching the destination? This kind of competition can also take place between two patrols. In such cases, each correct answer counts toward the patrol’s score, not the individual scout’s.
