Signaling Task
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”The patrol leader presents the patrol with a topographic sketch of the area drawn by himself; on it, he has marked two points on hills with crosses, between which rises a higher elevation—these points must be connected by means of signaling, having at their disposal one additional relay station. The sketch must be drawn in such a way that the placement of this intermediate station is such that it is visible from both points and yet presents some difficulty in finding the appropriate location. The task can be made more challenging by ordering that all or some of these points be invisible from the enemy position marked on the sketch. The game consists of two parts: the first is copying the sketch (from memory—or according to a visible model), the second—the actual task. Scoring is also double.
