Changes in the Uniform

We present a boy in the regulation uniform. The patrol observes him. Then we take him out of the room and make changes to his uniform: we pin the cross in the wrong place, position the service-year leaves or troop numerals incorrectly. We then present our “model” a second time for a 1-minute observation, after which each scout must list the noticed changes on a sheet of paper.

It is even better to reverse the order, so that the correct way of wearing the uniform, rather than its faults, remains in memory. However, this is not essential.

A variation described in the book titled Exercises and Games from the Skrzydeł library involves immediately showing a scout in an improper uniform—without prior observation—and having the boys identify the uniform’s faults.
