Kim's Game of Touch
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”The patrol forms a circle, facing outward. We hand (from a prepared set of approximately 15 objects) the first scout in the circle an object, such as a nib, to their hands, which they hold behind their back. They feel the object with their fingers and pass it to their neighbor, then receive a second object, and so on. When the objects have gone around the entire circle and reach the last scout, they return them in order to the patrol leader. Then, “disperse,” and for 3 minutes, everyone writes down the objects in the order they were passed by the patrol leader. Afterward, 2 points are awarded for each object recorded in the correct order, and 1 point for remembering it but in the wrong order.
Variation: The objects are small cardboard rectangles with grooves embossed in the shape of figures, letters, and the like.
Variation: A letter or several words are composed from such cardboard pieces with embossed letters.
Variation: Each scout receives one of the above cardboard pieces—in 2 teams, where the embossed letters form a word. On “disperse,” the teams gather and assemble the word from the letters they received. The team that shouts out the word first earns a point. The game is played, for example, to 10 points.
Variation: The objects circulating in the circle are small bags containing salt, sugar, coffee, rice, tea, and the like—or pieces of satin, linen, raw silk, cotton, wool, and the like.
