Hens — Roosters (with Variation)
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”Two teams stand in lines, facing each other, parallel to the longer walls of the hall or field. One team is the “hens,” the other the “roosters.” The patrol leader, standing to the side, imitates clucking: “cluck, cluck, coo, coo, cluck”—and ends it with a call: “hens!” or “roosters!” The team called by the patrol leader runs as fast as they can toward the wall. Anyone from that team who is caught by the opposing team before reaching it loses a point for their team. Anyone who, instead of running, charges at the opponent, assuming at first that their team is supposed to chase, also loses a point, of course.
Variation: (Gilcraft 4/60). The patrol leader sometimes also calls: “chicks!”—and then everyone must remain completely still. Anyone who runs loses a point.
