A deck of cards, preferably made by the boys themselves, is scattered randomly on the table, face down (left side up). Each boy takes turns lifting 2 cards. The goal is to draw a pair of cards with the same number of pips (e.g., a pair of eights, a pair of threes, etc.). Initially, of course, the cards are picked at random, but later, one remembers where previous players placed them. The cards are dealt, and pairs are matched. If, when lifting the cards, no pair with the same number of pips is found, they are placed back in the same spot, face down. If a pair is found, it is set aside, and the player may draw again. The one who collects the most pairs wins. The troop can be divided into 2 teams—

boys take turns drawing from both teams alternately. The team with the most pairs in total wins.
