The Manhunt
Translation details

Section titled “Translated text”The terrain (covering an area of 2—3 kilometers) is wooded, varied, and enclosed on all sides by roads. Fresh snowfall. One patrol represents a Bolshevik sabotage band cut off from the border and moving within this area enclosed by roads. They do not emerge onto the roads, fearing contact with people and outposts. Four other patrols represent Border Protection Corps (K.O.P.) units, acting in coordination but operating separately and examining the terrain from different directions. The sabotage band enters the manhunt area at a location unknown to the K.O.P. units. The first task of the K.O.P. is to find the initial trail of the Bolsheviks and then skillfully organize the manhunt. The band misleads, maneuvers, erases its tracks, and may split up. It can also ambush smaller K.O.P. groups, firing snowballs at them. A hit by a snowball disables a unit on both sides. The footprints of the sabotage band may be distinctive. These tracks should be examined and memorized by the K.O.P. groups upon first encountering them.
The game should be time-limited. For example, within 1 and a half hours, the band must be surrounded and eliminated. Otherwise, the surviving members of the sabotage band go free. If a “policeman” or border guard touches a band member with their hand, the latter is taken prisoner.
