On Friends' Signs
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”Following a simulated accident (e.g., a broken arm requiring bandaging) during an outing, two friends are left with the injured person. Several such groups of three can be organized, traveling along one or more routes at intervals of 5 minutes. An instructor or a more skilled participant, who simulates the main group, heads toward a certain destination, leaving signs in the form of arrows for the delayed group of friends. Occasionally, signs such as “wrong path,” “we split up,” or “letter” force them to: take out a map, orient themselves, or use specific terrain points, adding variety and difficulty to the game. The groups of three, unaware of the destination and route, must find the signs of the main group and, in doing so, involuntarily learn the terrain and notice its details. The winners are those who arrive at the destination in the shortest time from the moment of departure (someone must record this time) and demonstrate knowledge of the terrain they have traversed.
