Searching for a Natural Object in the Field, within a Defined Area
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”The object of the search may be a certain species: trees, shrubs, flowers, insects (on the ground or in water), fungi. These could also be anthills, tree hives, or nests. We proceed in stages: from larger to smaller objects, from easily visible to barely visible ones, from common to rare specimens.
After determining the size of the area and discussing the rules, the game begins on a signal. Participants disperse in any direction. A participant who spots the sought-after natural specimen should control their joyful impulses. Their behavior must not reveal the location of the searched object. (This is a difficult task for young people, requiring self-control. It must be emphasized during the discussion that controlling one’s impulses is essential.)
After spotting the sought specimen, the participant should calmly walk away from it, and after a moment, sit in a designated place (sitting in order of arrival) or approach the instructor standing aside, reporting to them where the object is located. The first to find the object is the winner. In the case of several patrols searching for a natural object, the patrol whose members secured the most first places wins.
For skilled participants, the number of sought species should be increased, selecting diverse types (trees, flowers, insects, mosses, etc.), while simultaneously limiting the search time.
The instructor may guide the searchers, especially in cases of difficulty finding the desired specimen, using agreed-upon signals: auditory or visual.
