Section titled “Translated text”The troop is divided into platoons, or into 4 equal parts. The first platoon proceeds to a chosen location, at least 1 kilometer distant. The second platoon moves in the opposite direction, also a kilometer away. The rest of the troop remains in the same place as the united army.
Platoon 1 and 2 represent allied armies at war with the main army that separates them. The task of both allied armies is to join their forces without coming into contact with the enemy, which is 2 times stronger in numbers. To this end, they dispatch scout armies and messengers with dispatches to ascertain the enemy’s position and to communicate with each other. If the allies succeed in joining their forces without encountering the common enemy, they are the victors.
The enemy army’s (platoons 3 and 4) objective is to prevent the allies from joining by disrupting communication, capturing messengers and scouts, surrounding or ambushing, and taking one of the allies prisoner. If, after the allotted time, the obstacles set for the allies prove ineffective, the allied side also has a claim to victory.
