Distribution and application as previously described. It serves as preparation for Palant and is especially recommended for the lowest grades of secondary schools when children still lack skill in batting the ball. However, it can also be useful for older students (e.g., in camp or on an excursion, when Palant equipment is unavailable, 1, etc.). The playing field, game progression, rules, technique, and tactics are the same as in “Palant with Bases, Without Elimination” (see the next chapter). The only changes are as follows: 1) instead of batting, throws with the ball are used; 2) each player (including the “base” and the “ransomer”) has the right to only one throw; 3) younger students ransom themselves by running to the halfway mark instead of the finish line.
