Section titled “Translated text”A game played by English secondary-school pupils during breaks on the school playing field. Requires a field not directly adjacent to classroom windows and divided so that older classes play separately from younger ones (to prevent accidents). One ball is set in motion (by any method, as long as it begins immediately at the start of the break) for every 20—25 pupils. Each ball must remain in constant motion and pass to ever-new participants so that all may benefit from the exercise. If a ball goes out of bounds, the player who kicked it out must retrieve it and, immediately upon picking it up, throw it back among the players. It is forbidden: 1) to stop the ball (it must be kicked onward while still in flight);
-
to dribble “wheelbarrow-style” (see below, Association Football, Technical Guidelines); 3) to run toward the ball when another player is closer;
-
to kick or jostle teammates; 5) to deliberately kick the ball out of bounds; 6) to use hands except to throw the ball back onto the field or to carry it off after the bell.
