A boys’ game found in various regions of Poland, suitable for upper primary school classes and lower secondary school boys.

a) With Support. The boys line up in a row, spaced several paces apart; all except the last bend forward and stand in a lunge, resting their hands on the knee of the leg extended forward. The last boy then takes a running start and leaps astride, with hand support, over his predecessor, followed by all the others in turn. Having done this, he himself takes up the same position at the front of the line. Meanwhile, his former predecessor (now last in the row) begins the same action, and so on. The line thus advances slowly forward. Instead of a row, the boys may also form a circle.

b) Without Support. More skilled boys leap without hand support over their companions, who are bent forward to a greater or lesser degree and turned sideways to the jumper. The formation is similar to the previous one, only with greater spacing.
