Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”A game for rural children in Greater Poland and Mazovia (other names: Black Peasant, Black Man); suitable for primary schools and the lowest grades of secondary schools. Number of players: 10—50. On a rectangular field measuring 40 steps in length and 20 steps in width, two goals are marked with lines, each 3—4 steps away from the shorter sides. Behind one goal stands a player chosen as the “black folk,” while all the others stand behind the opposite goal. At the signal given by the black folk—“Are you afraid of the black folk?”—the children respond: “No!” and run toward the opposite goal (turning back is not allowed); the black folk does the same, trying to catch as many children as possible along the way. Those caught assist the black folk. The game continues with constant changes of goals until all children are captured. The last one caught becomes the black folk in the next game.
