Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”A game from the rural children of Lesser Poland, suitable for kindergarten gardens and elementary schools. The children sit in a row (indoors—astride a low bench; outdoors—on the grass, with the “mayor” at the back, another child between his knees, a third between that child’s knees, and so on). One participant walks along the row, asking: — Is the mayor far? — At the end. When they reach the mayor: — Is that you, Mr. Mayor? — Yes. — Lend me your spade. — Partridges are sitting on it. — May I shoo them away? — You may. At this, the mayor jumps up, and so do the other children. The mayor runs away, while the others chase him. Whoever catches the mayor becomes the mayor in the next game, while the former mayor becomes a “partridge” and sits in front of the new mayor.
