Section titled “Translated text”A game widespread throughout Poland (other names: Blind Granny, Blind Man’s Bluff, Kutyubabka); suitable for children’s gardens and elementary schools. The “Granny” has her eyes blindfolded, after which she is asked a series of questions: — Where are you from, Granny? — From Pacanów. — What’s the news there? — Heavenly words. — Is the bread big there? — As big as your head. — Will you eat mushrooms? — I will. — What do you prefer: clapping, thumping, or tiptoeing? — (If the Granny chooses clapping, the children, running away from her, clap their hands; for thumping—they lightly tap her on the back; tiptoeing means running quietly on tiptoes). The Granny sets off in pursuit; whoever she catches becomes the next Granny.
