Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”A game for urban and rural boys, widespread in Poland; suitable for primary schools and lower grades of boys’ secondary schools. (Other names: Parciane, or Cut Army, Interrupted King, etc.). The boys divide into two camps, equal in number and strength, each composed of “knights” led by a “king.” Both armies stand opposite each other at a distance of 2 0 to 3 0 steps, each forming a line while holding hands firmly. Each king alternately sends one of his knights, who charges and attempts to break the opponents’ grip with a torso strike. If successful, the entire section of the chain to the right of the breaker joins the victors’ line as captives. If unsuccessful, the attacker himself becomes a captive. If a king is left alone, he is entitled to three attempts to break through. The game ends when one of the kings is captured.
