Translation detailsModel: mistral-large-2512.

A game widespread among rural children and youth in various regions of Poland; suitable for secondary school girls. The girls join hands and stand in two rows facing each other. These rows sing alternately, with the singing row moving forward while the other retreats. One row (A) represents Zelman’s procession, and the other (B) represents the procession of a maiden of marriageable age. After each verse, Zelman’s procession approaches the raised hands of the opposing row, which allows all the girls to pass except the last one, whom it incorporates into its own ranks. The game ends when Zelman’s procession is reduced to two people. The number of verses may be adjusted according to the number of participants, adding details of the trousseau (dress, handkerchief, shoes, etc.) or various types of bread (peasant, princely, royal, etc.).
