Expedition to the Pole
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”Each patrol participating in this expedition, having equipped themselves with sledges, loads them with provisions, sled bags, shovels, and the like. The sledges are pulled in turns by all the scouts in pairs. Ahead, 2 scouts march some 2 kilometres before the convoy and mark the route, either by the tracks of their boots or by various signs.
The rest follow behind, read the signs, and upon arriving at the destination, build huts from snow using the shovels. During this, staffs serve as supports, and brushwood is used to reinforce the walls and roof.
NOTE. Depending on the weather, organise an outing into the field, where the “expedition to the pole” or, alternatively, a “snow fort” and the like may take place, or else limit the exercise to the city.
