Prepare a series of strips (pieces of cotton, paper strips) in various shades of a single color, for example, red, ranging from a light pink shade to a dark claret. Color samples should be available in two identical sets for each participant in the game.

Game: a) Hand one of the color strips to a participant and instruct them to find the matching color among the mixed samples of the second set.

b) Mix all the strips and instruct participants to arrange them in order according to the degree of brightness.

c) Matching as in a), but from memory, without looking at the original sample.

d) Answer questions: Which of these colors is brick-red, orange, ash-gray, sky-blue? — What is the name of this (shown) color?

NOTE. The exercise can be graded as follows: 1) increasing the number of shades; 2) shortening the time the shades are shown in method c; 3) showing and instructing to match several shades instead of one; 4) providing not shades of one color but mixing different colors and instructing to find the shown colors (shades) among them.

When conducting these exercises, they can be varied by organizing competitions: a) who can select 5, 10, etc., colors shown by 2, 1 within half a minute; b) who can find the most colors within a given time (6, 3, 2 minutes).
