Silent Approach to the Campsite
Translation details

Section titled “Translated text”The most appropriate time to arrive at the site is for conducting some general game. At least one patrol should perform a silent approach to the location designated for the camp and scout the surrounding area. Several patrols converging from different directions for a joint camp compete to occupy the point as quickly and unnoticed as possible, ultimately guarding it and intercepting others. No patrol should know whether it will be the first or if someone is already there. Everything should depend on the patrol leader’s head—and on that bit of luck, which some say is worth more than a pound of sense (I prefer a pound of sense). This game should not last too long, as it is already time for dinner. The commander gives the signal to finish, or if the game reaches its conclusion—to interrupt the lively discussion (which sometimes resembles an unfamiliar phenomenon among scouts: arguing) and calls for assembly.
