Translation details

Section titled “Translated text”The Scoutmaster stands in an open place and dispatches scouts in various directions at a distance of about one kilometre. He then gives the signal to start the game with a flag. Each scout hides and then approaches the Scoutmaster, observing all his movements. When the Scoutmaster gives the second signal with the flag, everyone stands up and reports orally or in writing in turn. Throughout the game, the Scoutmaster keeps an eye around and on a previously prepared chart, deducting two marks for each scout who exposes themselves. Meanwhile, he performs small actions (e.g., sits down, kneels, looks through a telescope, wipes his nose, removes his hat, walks back and forth, etc.) to provide scouts with opportunities to make observations. For each well-observed action, a scout receives 3 marks.
