Radio Orders (with Variations)
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”Boys “march” with pencils on paper or “in reality” on the field and receive short orders “via radio” sounding, for example: 5 N, 7 SW, 15 SWW, and so on, which means: 5 kilometers (centimeters on paper, steps on the field) in the north-northwest direction; 7 kilometers in the west-southwest direction, and so on. In the field, this can be combined with signaling: these orders are signaled.
Variation: boys, walking in this way on the field, draw the same on paper.
Variation: boys, having already written such a “dictation,” must each define the directions with symbols and then walk accordingly on the field. A storyline is added to this.
Variation: 2 teams receive different orders of the same type, involving counter-dances of units across a certain area—who will encircle whom, block their path, and so on.
