Translated text

All boys hold (each with one hand) a scarf stretched between them. The patrol leader runs a finger along it and stops it at one of the hands, saying: “drop!” or “hold!”—which must be done in the opposite way. Whoever fails to react correctly leaves the game or loses a point. Instead of holding one scarf together, each boy may hold an object individually, in which case the patrol leader points with a finger.
