Hunting the Indian Elephant
Translation details
Model:mistral-large-2512.Translated text
Section titled “Translated text”A game similar to “Interrupted King,” providing activity for several patrols or an entire troop. All participants join hands and form a circle. In the center of the circle stands a chosen or drawn-by-lot elephant (inhabitants of India lure wild elephants using tame ones into a trap surrounded by a high palisade). The elephant’s task in this game is to break through the living wall by a running charge outward. After one attempt, successful or not, another player takes their place.
Scouts standing on the circle’s perimeter are not allowed to lower their hands diagonally downward, much less extend them forward; rather, their arms must remain raised at a horizontal side level at all times, so the elephant does not tear their hands with its belly but only with its chest or shoulders.
